Join Belgard at the Nation’s Largest Horticulture Event

Calling all garden enthusiasts! If you’ve never had the opportunity to attend the Philadelphia Flower Show, you’re missing out on incredible displays from the nation’s premier floral and landscape designers. Belgard is once again excited to partner with the largest horticultural event in the nation as the official hardscapes sponsor of the show, to be held March 3 – 11, 2018, in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

This year’s show, “Wonders of Water,” will celebrate the beauty and life-sustaining interplay of horticulture and water by showcasing stunning displays that emulate tropical jungles, temperate forests, native woodlands and arid landscapes, featuring the astounding plants that thrive in each environment. As the official hardscape sponsor of the show, Belgard patio pavers and retaining walls will be used exclusively throughout the show in exhibitor displays, garden areas, stage construction and anywhere hardscapes are needed.

Belgard will also have a feature exhibit, designed by the Belgard Design Studio, where visitors will have an opportunity to register for a chance to win a Bordeaux Elements™ Grill Island.

The expansive Belgard display will include an outdoor kitchen and living room and a patio with multiple fire features and water features. The exhibit will showcase installations of more than a dozen Belgard products including a fireplace and grill island from the Bordeaux™ Series of the Belgard Elements™ Collection of outdoor fireplaces and kitchen units. To tie in with the “Wonders of Water” theme, the Belgard display will also include contemporary fountains and an outdoor shower.

Belgard will also sponsor a Virtual Reality experience in The Backyard area of the Grand Hall, where visitors can view 3-D designs from the Belgard Design Studio using the studio’s new VR platform.

Sunset Celebration Weekend Event Recap

The Belgard booth was located in Sunset Celebration Beer Garden and featured a Weston Stone® fire pit surrounded by Lafitt® Rustic Slab pavers and a ???? seat wall. — The Belgard booth was located by the Beer Garden and featured a Weston Stone® fire pit surrounded by Lafitt® Grana Slab pavers and a Shelton Wall seat wall.

We had an amazing time soaking in the sun and celebrating life in the West at the annual Sunset Celebration Weekend held in Cornerstone Sonoma on May 20-21. We occupied two spaces on the event campus, with our company booth and fire pit lounging area by the Beer Garden and the Belgard Wine Bar on the opposite side of the campus. We’d like to offer a special shout out to our friends at Black Diamond Paver Stone & Landscape, Inc., who installed the fire pit, seat wall and patio for our lounging area. Members of the Black Diamond team were also on hand throughout the weekend to greet attendees and answer questions regarding landscaping and hardscape design and installation.

The Belgard Wine Bar was a popular site throughout the event, offering wine tastings to attendees. The bar was constructed with Tandem® Modular Grid surrounded by a paver patio of Lafitt® Rustic Slab.

Our weekend began with Media Day on Friday. Belgard took part in the event by distributing materials to the visiting media representatives and offering refreshing mimosas at the Belgard Wine Bar.

Saturday was open to the public and was a perfect California day — sunny and warm with clear blue skies. Throughout the day, we educated attendees on various pavers and retaining walls and offered tips on outdoor living design and installation, as well as contractor selection. By stopping to ask questions, visitors to our booth were rewarded with an additional wine tasting ticket that could be redeemed across the campus at the Belgard Wine Bar. Additional festivities throughout the event included live music, cooking demonstrations, various product and education booths, food trucks offering a variety of delicious fare, and more.

Area chefs offered cooking demonstrations at the Outdoor Kitchen Stage throughout the event. The outdoor kitchen was constructed with Tandem® Modular Grid, with a surrounding patio of Lafitt® Rustic Slab.

Sunday was an equally gorgeous day with a continuation of live entertainment, wine tastings, festive happenings and lively conversation around the Belgard fire pit. Join Belgard at the Upcoming Philadelphia Flower Show

As the largest hardscapes manufacturer in the nation, Belgard is once again proud to partner with the largest horticultural event in the nation as the 2017 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show’s official hardscapes sponsor at the event to be held March 11-19, 2017, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

This year’s show, “Holland: Flowering the World”, will showcase the talents of our nation’s top horticulturalists and designers along with award-winning landscape and floral designers from the Netherlands. From towering windmills, wooden shoes and delectable cheeses, to the whimsical bicycles, canals and vibrant tulip fields of the iconic Dutch landscape, this year’s show will share the diverse stories of horticulture, innovative eco-design, and modern urban greening and sustainability efforts of the Netherlands.

In addition to the use of Belgard hardscapes throughout the entire show, Belgard will also exhibit a selection of hardscape products and Dutch-inspired landscaping in their display garden. The Belgard feature exhibit, which was designed by the Belgard Design Studio, will be constructed to emulate an expansive outdoor living space that includes an outdoor living room, kitchen, and dining area — featuring a variety of Belgard pavers, wall products, and the Bordeaux Series of the Belgard Elements Collection of outdoor fireplaces and kitchen units.

As the largest hardscapes manufacturer in the nation, Belgard has partnered with the largest horticultural event in the nation as the 2016 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show’s official hardscapes sponsor at their event to be held March 5 – 13, 2016, in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

This year’s show, “Explore America,” will celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service and America’s majestic landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture by showcasing stunning displays created by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. From Acadia and Cape Cod, to Valley Forge and Shenandoah, to Yellowstone, Yosemite and other iconic parks and historic sites, American beauty and glory will serve as inspiration for a variety of interactive exhibits.

In addition to the use of Belgard hardscapes throughout the entire show, Belgard will also exhibit a variety of hardscape products in their entrance display garden, which is titled “A Chesapeake Kind of Beautiful” and is a tribute to the Chesapeake Bay National Park.

The Belgard feature exhibit, which was designed by the Belgard Design Studio, will be constructed to emulate a home with an expansive backyard outdoor living space, which includes an Old World Paver™ driveway, a Mega-Lafitt™ paver patio, meandering gardens bordered with Anglia Edger®, a Bordeaux Belgard Elements outdoor kitchen and fireplace, and a Mirage® porcelain paver pavilion. Tandem™ Modular Grid will be used to create various structures throughout the feature display, included the pavilion posts, an arbor, end caps, and column wraps.
