HOW TO UTILIZE THE BELGARD CATALOG AS AN EFFECTIVE SALES TOOL

Jan 20, 2020

In any business, the key to profitability is to work efficiently. Quality should never be sacrificed for quantity, but there are ways to work smarter versus working harder to achieve your goals. Processes can be simplified to reduce manhours and avoid having to do the same work twice. The new Belgard 2020 Catalog was designed with one primary goal in mind: to help you work more efficiently. Here’s how.

SHOW THEM WHAT’S POSSIBLE

Catalog

Investing in an outdoor living project can be intimidating. Many people simply have no creative vision and don’t know where to begin. The catalog can help them start visualizing what they want in their own space. The pages of beautiful outdoor living projects can also whet their appetites, push them closer to pulling the trigger on a project, and entice them to add upgrades. Also, the new catalog is shaped as a square for a reason. The shape stands out among other printed pieces, in case homeowners are researching multiple ideas, and allows us to better showcase project photography.Investing in an outdoor living project can be intimidating. SIMPLIFY THE DESIGN PROCESS

Coolections

The easier the design process, the more quickly a homeowner can commit to a start date. The new catalog organizes our products into Collections according to style and texture to speed the design and decision-making processes. From fashion to furniture, consumers have shopped for years by style (or Collection) when making purchasing decisions. Not only is the process familiar, it helps them better identify which hardscapes work best with their personal style and the architecture of their home.

HOW TO NAVIGATE THE COLLECTIONS

Navigation

Products are organized into six distinct Collections, each coded with an icon. For easy identification, products and projects featured in the catalog are also coded with Collection icons. Here’s how the Collections are organized:

  • Legacy and Heritage embody the origin of hardscapes with pillow-topped 3-piece systems, standard 4x8 pavers and rough or split-face wall block. While the two appear similar and align with the same traditional home styles, Heritage is tumbled and antiqued, while Legacy is more of a classic look.
  • Natural and Metropolitan offer high design, distinct color palettes and have a wider variety of scale and finish. These premium looks can bring out the character of multiple home styles. Natural offers slate or stone textures and blended colors that complement the earthier tones of nature, whereas Metropolitan offers more of a sleek and modern look with large-format and linear pieces. The Metropolitan Collection works well with contemporary monochromatic outdoor living designs or can serve as a neutral base to accent with pops of color for a timeless look.
  • Environmental and Porcelain are less about aesthetics and more about material and functionality. Environmental consists of a permeable line of products that offer solutions for superior water management. Porcelain offers high design options that mirror interior design trends, is maintenance free, and is ideal for elevated spaces, pool surrounds and purposeful accents. Both Collections offer solutions that complement the core line of hardscapes.

MIXING AND MATCHING COLLECTIONS

Compatabitliy

Although each paver or wall falls into a specific collection, they can be compatible with other collections to create eclectic or unique designs. For your convenience, the catalog includes a chart that shows the compatibility of how each product can be mixed with another collection to create aesthetically pleasing designer looks. Questions for the homeowner to consider when recommending a Collection:

  • How would you describe the style of the home?
  • Do you want to complement the current style or create a transitional or eclectic look?
  • Do you want the hardscapes to blend in with the surroundings or become a statement piece?
  • Do you prefer natural looks, classic looks or modern looks?
  • What colors and materials are on the exterior of the home?
  • Are there any challenges with water management, slope of the yard or other issues?

PROVIDE QUICK ESTIMATES

Estimating
